I got Stung!! What I did to STOP THE STING

A few weeks ago we were camping and just as we were loading up to leave I got stung by something flying around. I think it was a yellow jacket, but we aren't super sure what. I immediately grabbed my lavender essential oil. It helped reduce the overall impact so much. As I needed more, I would just dab a drop or two on there. While all bites are a little different. The overall idea is the same. No matter what type of bite you have, you are going to want to get the stinging to stop and to get stinger out (if it's inside). So hang with me. This was the first time I'd ever been stung by anything. So I wasn't sure how it should feel or look. However, three days later and it was hot, swollen and red. So I knew something was wrong. I did a little research and this is what I ended up doing. Step 1-I made a Epsom salt soak for my hand. This was to help loosen and relax my hand. I did it with the hottest water I could stand. Step 2- I made a special paste using baking soda and tea. I let it set on my hand for an hour. The paste was made to encourage my body to get rid of the inflammation. All of this to help draw out the sting. AND IT WORKED! After doing this 2 times within a 22 hour period, my hand looked way better. I could actually move it again. It felt so much better too. Looking back, I wish I would have done the hand soak and paste, but this is something I will know for next time :) In the meantime, I hope that this recipe helps you and blesses your family if or when you need it. <3 Kayla

Soak Recipe: -1 Cup of Epsom Salt -1/2 cup of Baking Soda -5 drops of Lemon Essential Oil -5 drops of Cypress Essential Oil Combine above ingredients together and shake or stir together until combined. Soak for 20 minutes.

Baking Soda Paste: -1/4 cup of baking soda -1 tea bag (or loose leaf tea) -water Combine baking soda and tea together. You can break open a tea bag or use loose leaf tea. When adding the water, be careful that you don't add too much. Just add enough water until it's pasty. Let it set on the area for an hour. Can cover with a towel or a bandage if needed. 02/29/2020
