We love to give our immune system a little extra kick with homemade Elderberry Syrup.
I keep dried elderberries on hand and simply whip up a batch when we need it. It's super fast and simple to make as well as a great way to stay healthy.
Recipe:
Bring to a boil:
-5 1/4 cup of water and
-3/4 cup of dried elderberries
-2 TBSP Ginger -1 tsp Cinnamon -1/2 tsp ground Cloves Once it boils, let it simmer for 30-45 minutes. (the liquid will reduce by about half) Once cooled, drain berries and add:
-3/4 cup of raw honey (I use this honey)
-1 cup of water
Optional: 2 drops of Orange Vitality or Lemon Vitality Essential Oil.
Store in the fridge for 3-4 months.
