DIY Iced Latte

One thing to know about me is that I love coffee. And I SUPER love iced coffee.

My favorite type of coffee is anything made with espresso. My go-to is a latte.

A few years ago my now husband, we were engaged at the time, bought me my first machine espresso for valentine's day. This machine is where I begin to experiment and learn about coffee. How to make a good latte. How to make both hot and iced drinks. I experimented with flavors, sweeteners and amounts of milk..type of milk. Ratios. Just all of the things.

Fast forward a few years and that machine unfortunately broke. So for my birthday 2 years ago, he bought me a new and better machine. I now use a Mr Coffee Cafe Barista that you can order by clicking here. Bonus is that it is easier to use then my previous machine.

I have tried many coffee beans over the years. However, my favorite is the Brazil coffee beans from seeker coffee. You can click here to order. I buy the whole beans and then every few days I grind the coffee to a fine grind. I will store my ground coffee in a mason jar. I don't grind more then 3-4 days at a time because I like the freshly ground coffee, it makes for a better flavor.

After years of trying and failing and trying again, I want to share with you my recipe to make my favorite iced latte.

I hope you enjoy!

DIY Iced Latte

-2 shots of espresso

-8 ounces of whole milk (or your preferred milk preference: heavy cream, half and half, almond milk, etc.)

-8 ounces of ice

-optional: maple syrup or honey to taste

Make shots, add in sweetener. Then add milk or milk substitute stir together and then add ice. I like to serve it in a mason jar with a glass straw.
