Busted Lip. Lavender. ER.

Accidents happen….and normally when they are least expected. Last week we were playing at the park when my son fell off the see-saw onto the ground. What looked like a harm-less fall, turned into lots of blood. Once I dabbed away some blood I realized that there was a VERY deep cut on his lip. I was so grateful my friend had her bottle of lavender on her!! Philip didn't want anything touching his owie…but he knew the lavender helped and allowed me to apply it. As soon as the Lavender hit the open wound THE BLEEDING STOPPED!! It was magical. I know these oils work, but they still somehow catch me off guard because of how well they work. My friend was so surprised how well it worked too. Once he was calmed down (because the lavender has so many uses including calming effect). I was able to make arrangements to get care for Eden before taking Philip to the ER (Urgent Care said they wouldn't touch him since it was a lip.) Once we were to the ER, there was no more blood on coming from his cut…and everyone was so calm the staff almost didn't understand why we were there until they took a closer look at Philip's lip they would say “OHHHH yes we need stitches or glue!!!” But even they didn't need to panic because there wasn't blood everywhere and Philip was chill and happy. Everyone in the ER was so impressed with how well Philip was acting and handling himself. I give a lot of credit to the Lavender. Why does lavender get the credit? Lavender helped mama stay calm. It helped Philip stay calm. I've also realized that using lavender we don't have horror stories with boo-boo clean ups instead the kids allow me to tend to their wounds because it's a pain-less cleanup with lavender! The next day Philip was talking how much he enjoyed his trip to the hospital!!! In the hospital, he was in so much pain from it all too…because he was squeezing my hands. But because Lavender was on the scene, it made what would have been a panic-moment become a calmer moment which was the best for everyone involved.

I share this story because while it's our first time to the ER it's not our first lavender-saving story. This oil is truly amazing and at this moment it's my #1 oil. If you have an Essential Oil Pocket Reference, I highly recommend that you get it out and read more about this amazing essential oil: Lavender!
